Operational Finance Assistant

What You Will Do 

• To monitor the AR cash application team. 
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standard business practices, as they pertain to cash application. 
• Provide reporting to management on issues, projects and processing statistics, e.g unapplied cash. 
• Daily processing of cash deposit batches and postings to dealers/agents’ accounts, including payments made by check,
• EFT payments, and branch deposits. Generate and apply credit/ debit memos. 
• Interface with the Credit and Collections function Account Managers and Branch Managers to troubleshoot and resolve customer payment discrepancies. 
• Identify and solve problems timely and accurately; ability to think beyond immediate consequences. 
• Research and correct/apply all transactions relating to unapplied cash, with continuous follow-up until payment is fully applied. 
• Apply independent judgement with follow-up to dealers/agents and business partners to determine direction.
• Provide support for other duties & projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities 

• Experience in using Excel, Power Point and Word. 
• Analytical / problem solver. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous. 
• Ability to work and deliver results within agreed timeline. 
• Team player. 
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or Diploma holders in Accounting. 
• 0 -2 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance fields or equivalent.
