Credit Management Trainee Programme -CMT- Commercial Banking

What You Will Do

• Responsible for managing commercial portfolios (companies/ non-individuals) including evaluating their loan applications, conducting credit reviews, marketing and cross selling a wide range of banking products and services. 
• Monitor overall facility utilization and profitability of the assigned portfolio. 
• Build rapport and develop meaningful networking to maintain account relationships with both existing and prospective clients. 
• Build client loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship with the objective of becoming clients’ “Trusted Main Banker” 
• Identify clients’ needs and capture new financing and / or cross selling opportunities; negotiate for best margins to optimize profitability. 
• Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned. 
• Ensure accuracy on customer due diligence (“CDD”) and Know Your Customer (“KYC”). 
• To keep abreast of clients’ business activities ie. Be quick to identify new opportunities / inherent market risk, if any.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply or anyone with less than 2 years' working experience. 
• Possess a recognized degree or Diploma / Bachelor's degree, in any field, from an accredited university/college. 
• Proactive, has good communication skills and a highly motivated self-starter. 
• Has a strong interest in financial planning, investment, client management and keen to work in a sale driven environment. 
• Strong business acumen, proactive and a highly motivated self-starter. 
• Positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Excellent teamwork/spirit. 
• Candidates will be provided with 3 months' intensive training during this training programme. 
• Willing to travel and be relocated within UOB Group, if need be.
