Supplier Quality Engineering - SQE Analyst

The Programme

We are a Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) group comprised of a team of professionals experienced in mechanical and electrical commodities, based in various locations across SE Asia.  

Our goal is to protect customer quality by supplying defect-free parts and sub-assemblies. 
We work within the Operations Quality & Analytics (OQ&A) section of the Global Quality Team.  
 
This is an exciting opportunity to work with quality professionals in Seagate’s factories and suppliers, supporting current and new Storage Systems products for the global data storage market. You will interact with many different functions in the Company, as well as with some of our strategic suppliers. 
  
This graduate position would provide you with a great foundation if you are seeking a career in Quality Assurance or associated positions in the data storage industry.

What You Will Do

• Work on live programs for new and existing products. You will be working alongside senior level members of the team on some/many of the following subject areas. You will have some pre-existing experience in some fields, and you will receive guidance and mentorship as and where necessary. 
• Drive Supplier Quality Management for Mechanical and/or Electrical/Electronic commodities. 
• Handle Quality Issue using the 8D methodology. 
• Apply 6-sigma tools. 
• Prepare Quality Metric Reporting and Analytics. 
• Drive Failure Analysis in Supplier site. 
• Support Reliability Engineering. 
• Manage Continuous Improvement. 
• Be involved in cross functional collaboration (Design, Manufacturing, Test, Procurement, Materials, Sales). 
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI).

• Confident and good communicator. 
• Analytical thinking. 
• Fresh graduate in any Engineering discipline.

Your experience includes:

• Internship or undergraduate experience programmes. 
• Post graduate projects related to field of studies.
