Intern - IT Infra Operations

The Programme 

About our group: 

We are a global IT Infrastructure Operations team who round the clock, supporting the operation of worldwide IT Infrastructure computer resources.  
 
About the role - you will: 

• Be supporting the team in the following functions: 
• IT Infra Operations administration 
• Day-to-day operations and administration of RHE Linux and other Linux distribution, VMware and Windows in global IT infrastructure Global VMware environment optimization and resource monitoring 
• Work on the global server deployment for both Linux and Windows 
• Establish and maintain security integrity controls 
• Formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards relating to the global server 
• Handling patching of server operating system through tools like WSUS and Katello globally 
• Produce documentation for tasks completed, according to established standards 
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

• Effective administration and troubleshooting skills. 
• Proactive and forward-thinking attitude and creative problem-solving ability. 
• Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams. 
• Good written & oral communication skills in English. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
• Pursuing Internship (requirement from University/College) for Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or
• Computer/Software Engineering.  

Your experience includes: 

• Based on academic projects/assignments. 
• Application of Linux, preferably CentOS or RHEL administration in your previous projects/assignments. 
• Knowledge in RHEL, Open-Source tools/services, clustering, and automation scripts.
• Knowledge of VMware and Windows administration.
