Proposal Intern - SOLN & SVCS - IT

The Programme

Proposal Intern will work with Lifecycle Services Business Unit to work in Industrial Automation proposals or contracts. 
 
The successful candidate will receive Soft Skills, Technical Training through eLearning, Virtual & Classroom trainings, and then the Interns will be assigned to work on few proposals or contracts, where he/she will work under the direction of an experienced Proposal Team Lead or Senior Proposal Engineer. 
 
Proposal Intern will be involved in various stages of a proposals, starting from receiving the information/requirement/specification, developing the proposal contents, discussion with few stakeholders and approval. 
 
What Intern will Learn & Do:

• Intern gains knowledge about Industry overview, various functions and business units of Rockwell Automation. 
• Opportunity to interact with senior leadership in the organization. 
• Intern receives training on soft skills & Interpersonal Skills. 
• Intern receives basic technical training on PLC & HMI. 
• Intern will be involved proposals activity, in one or more of the following: 
  
  • Analyze RFPs (Request for Proposals) and other technical bid documents to understand project requirements. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, subject matter experts and sourcing/procurement team to gather information and insights for proposal contents. 
  • Creation and development of technical proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment with customer’s requirements. 
  • Development of technical bidding templates and designing system architecture for various industries. 
  • Evaluation and validation of third-party suppliers’ quotations to ensure compliance with customers’ specifications. 
  • Managing the proposal development schedule, coordinate meetings and tracking actions to ensure on-time submission without compromising the quality of proposal. 
  • Create and maintain third-party quotation databases to allow clear comparisons and simplify future proposal development. 
  • Gathering feedback from various stakeholders and identifying areas of improvement. 
• Proposal development Readout and presentation.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Pursuing a full time Bachelor Degree in any of the following functions like Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication / IT / Science Physics or related field. 
• Good knowledge and understanding of core subjects with basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller / IT. 
  Excellent in interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills. 
• Collaborate with teams & Adaptive to changes in technologies. 
• Attention to details & Critical thinking abilities. 
• A quick learner with an interest in expanding their technical skills. 
• High curiosity about customers’ needs, industries’ demands, and the factors that contribute to successful proposals. 
• Analytical-minded, detail-oriented, and a problem solver. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
