Assistant Manager - Performance & Data Analytics - Statistics

The Programme

  • Collaborate closely with business users to understand requirements, design and develop a data model, dashboard, reports that best fits the users’ needs. 
  • Develop data modeling & visualization using tools such as Power BI and QlikSense, develop and maintain technical documentation for all designed solutions. 
  • Maintain existing data solutions, reports & dashboards, and identify and act upon opportunities to drive efficiencies and improve customer experience. 
  • Prepare management reporting to regional office and any reports required from local regulator.

What You Will Do

  • Perform data extraction, reporting and analysis. 
  • Ensure discipline in documentation of assumptions, observations and findings. 
  • Exercise sound judgment while analyzing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of data integrity, accuracy and timeliness in reporting. 
  • Work with IT department to develop and perform user acceptance testing on data marts to support reporting and analytics requirements. 
  • Develop, automate, and execute cross-functional BI dashboard / management reports. 
  • Risk Incident tracking and follow up progress to ensure compliance 
  • Ad-hoc assignments as requested by Head of Department.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Information Management, IT, Applied Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or any related discipline. 

Experience:

  • Fresh graduate or one with 1-2 years of working experience in data analysis role or management reporting.   
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong application knowledge with Visual Basic, data query / manipulation tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, MS Access), data analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, Excel) and BI applications (e.g., Qlik sense, Power BI) will have an added advantage. 
  • Good writing and communication skills in English.
