Graduate Civil & Structural Engineer - Transport/ Building

The Programme

Mott MacDonald Malaysia is currently recruiting Civil & Structural Engineers (Graduate) to work in our Built Environment and/or Transport Sector. 

Within this role you will support the detailed design of civil & structural engineering and calculations, technical reporting, and support engineering tasks across a wide range of award-winning building projects. 

These projects include a wide range of civil and institutional projects, commercial, transport and mixed-use developments.

As part of the role, key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, outline and carry out detailed design of civil and structural engineering designs and calculations. 
  • Prepare method statement and engineering proposal. 
  • Attend meetings with clients, contractors, and authority organizations. 
  • Visiting construction sites to carry out site inspection and site supervision. 
  • Coordinate with various parties (team members, clients, government authorities) on design and stakeholder interface. 
  • Liaising and working together within the project team of engineers and drafters 
  • Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering. 
  • Strong passion in pursuing structural design engineering in a consultancy environment. 
  • Between 0 to 1 year of experience.  
  • Fresh graduates are welcome. 
  • A digital aptitude, strong learning mindset and interest to commit to driving social and sustainable outcomes in all that we do. 
  • Collaborative, open, and constructive approach. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • A team player who is enthusiastic, driven and committed.
