Internship - Product Data Analyst

Job Description:

As a Data Analyst intern in the team, you will be responsible for running the business data analysis and building dashboards that highlight the areas of focus to assist the organization to make decisions relating to overall portfolio lifecycle management and profitability.  
 
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams i.e., Product Management, Regional Operations, Regional Strategy and Finance. 
 
You will be assigned a project relating to organizing overall portfolio sales numbers and data preprocessing. Data is then analyzed, designed, and presented using available tools that assist in business decision making.

What You Will Do

• Using automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources. 
• Data cleaning and preprocessing to remove errors. 
• Data is analyzed and visualized to highlight trends. 
• Ensure the quality of the data. 
• Develop an automated workbook and dashboard that enables report generation and displays Quarterly Sales performance using available Tools so that business performance can be assessed and compared over periods of time. 
• Analyzing regional and global trends that impact both the organization and comparing against industry. 
• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data. 
• At the end of the internship, you will be presenting your project to stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Currently undergoing a Bachelor's Degree program preferably in the field of Business or Finance. 
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. 
• Microsoft Excel skills e.g., Pivot tables, basic formula. 
• Experienced in using basic functions of Tableau Business Intelligence and Analytics Software. 
• Minimum period for an internship is 3 months. 
• Understanding of Financial terms. 
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills and navigate well in a multicultural environment. 
• Excellent presentation skills and are able to clearly communicate with colleagues with diverse backgrounds. 
• As an individual, you are creative and inspiring, curious and fact-based, bold and caring. 
• You have the passion and will to challenge the status quo.

Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
