The Programme 
 
The project aims to address the timing difference between the net book value and the tax written down value.  
 
The project aims to establish a mapping linkage between the Japan consumption tax working file and the consumption tax return. 
 
Supporting Team:

• Fixed assets team. 
• PWC auditor. 
• PWC tax consultant. 
• KPMG Japan Tax Team. 
• IT Team.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the Fixed assets team, PWC auditors and PWC tax consultants to identify timing differences between net book value to tax written down value. Analyze and identify non-qualifying assets on a year-to-year basis. Explore variations between the original MYR and translated MYR. Data collection and analysis 
• Logging into the Tax System: Understand the filing process by accessing the tax system.  
• Requirement Analysis: Identify the necessary information for filing the return.  
• Mapping Preparation: Create a template and desktop procedure to guide the mapping process from the working file to the return.

Deliverables:

• Gain an understanding of deferred taxation and reconciliation on the timing differences between net book value and tax written down value. Create a standardized template for accurate comparisons. 
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the information required for the consumption tax return. Successfully map the relevant figures from the working file to the consumption tax return.
