The Programme

Project Title: 
 
Development of Video Analytics solution using yolov8 model development to assist the unit counting and tray sequence detection in CAT Area. 
 
Description: 
 
To set up a hardware platform and develop a video analytics solution using Camera and Edge devices.  
The project intends to capture the images from the trays and count the number of units present in the trays.  
 
Also intends to detect the tray bar code and use OCR (optical character recognition) to extract the tray id and detect tray sequence.

What You Will Do

• To engage with different teams to set up the Hardware for data collection. 
• To conduct during record videos and Images for data collection. 
• To conduct data cleansing. 
• To conduct Labelling of objects in the images. 
• To conduct preparation of images and train an Object detection Model. 
• To assist during model deployment and run the application for UAT (user acceptance testing).

Deliverables:

• Able to write programs to collect images and videos from edge devices. 
• Able to label images and videos for model development. 
• To be able to write programs to trigger buzzer, tower light and send email during a violation detected by the VA solution.

Stretch Goal:

• Involve in brainstorming and VA solution development. 
• To improve model training results and model optimization.
