As an Electrical Failure Analysis (EFA) Engineer for Assembly Open Short Test (AOST) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to provide comprehensive Electrical Failure Analysis for different memory technologies (mNAND and NAND) during development of new processes or materials by working with various functional teams for root cause identification, simulation and solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Perform electrical characterization on the bench tester for the failing device and create failure model based on the data collected.
  • Understand Fab process and physical failure analysis (PFA) methodologies to be able to come up with physical defect models that explain the failure.
  • Identifying root cause of failure and designing and implementing fixes.
  • Understand all electrical testing done at probe and backend test.
  • Work closely with PFA team to help them quickly determine where to look for physical defects and confirm defect pictures match electrical signature.
  • Work closely with Product Engineer, PDE Device and TSE team to differentiate the root cause related to device or test programming related.
  • Ensure materials and failure analysis capabilities required to support advanced process technology and product development are in place.
  • Develop formal failure analysis report data and publish to the relevant stakeholders. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering.
  • Fresh graduates/highly motivated individuals with 1-2 years' working experience are encourage to apply.
  • Excellent problem-solving skill, and good in data analysis, statistical analysis, data interpretation skills.
  • A good team player, equip with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly result driven individual, self-motivated and ability to multi-task and manage dynamic priorities.
