Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

We are looking for an Associate to join us, the responsibilities and duties of this role are to support strategic investigation, delivery/change management in programmes that strategic to the organization and contribute to wider strategic discussions particularly those with significant operational and economic impacts. 

What You Will Do 

As a member of the Maxis strategy community, be a champion for identifying new areas of significant opportunity and risk in 3-to-5-year horizon, lead and support the development of the Long-Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and for undertaking investigations of these and leading to a decision on these initiatives with cross-Division scope.  

This job entails:

  • Identifies and evaluates significant performance improvement opportunities that impact organizational strategic objectives.
  • Ensure close alignment with business units on key strategy initiatives through rigorous strategic communication with strategic function of each business unit.
  • Support the CFSO and Head of Corporate Strategy in reviewing and overseeing the plan, management, execution and tracking of all strategic initiatives.
  • Builds strategic capabilities throughout the organization to improve articulation, analysis and planning of significant programmes within each division.
  • Support development of a knowledge bank for the organization that includes business cases, best practices, benchmarking and other critical data sets. 

The Strategic Development role will provide highly skilled Internal Consultancy as required and will collaborate widely across the company on a project basis.  Their most frequent collaborations will be with the Consumer Business, Enterprise, Finance, Technology, and Regulatory. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s) - Logical and strategic thinking, strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, Strong conceptual and analytical skills.
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
  • Experience in a reputable management consulting firm.
  • Personal traits - Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, A self-starter, Ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment and A team player.
