Analyst -Category Operations- Marketing - Overseas Market

The Programme

We are seeking an Entrepreneurial Analyst, Category Operations to join the RedMart team.  
 
You will sit within the Grocery Category Management team in the RedMart Lazada Singapore business.  
 
In this role you will be responsible for supporting merchandizing and category management operations for Fresh & Frozen categories for RedMart Lazada Singapore. You will exercise your analytical and entrepreneurial skills to drive efficiency through managing Campaign execution, seasonal marketplace operations, supplier negotiations and inventory management.  
 
This role offers a high degree of autonomy for the individual to deliver the best range, value and service to our customers.  
 
The candidate will be a key member of the team and will report directly to the Category Manager.

What You Will Do

Support to execute internal campaigns planning & execution:

  • Responsible for managing email communication with suppliers for internal campaigns and coordination of go-live for campaign. 
  • Work with internal team to request for design for campaign pages. 
  • Creation of curated landing pages for day-to-day internal campaigns 
  • Manage nomination of assortment for Fresh & Frozen categories for discoverability campaigns 
  • Send media booking confirmation email to all suppliers 
  • Contribute to process and systems improvements to minimize time spent on day-to-day tasks

Wastage & Inventory management:

  • Work with supplier and warehouse team for returns/exchange of bad goods operations for all Fresh & Frozen categories. 
  • Lead the waste resale and execution with 3 key buyers. 
  • Partner with Category managers to manage inventory levels and wastage during key campaigns. 
  • Analyzing the promotion performance of seasonal items to help in forecast and reduction in wastage. 
  • Execute the promotion submission for internal assets for Fresh Produce suppliers after finalizing with Category Manager.

Seasonal Marketplace operations:

  • Work with seasonal marketplace sellers to re-enable and go-live of seasonal range with existing sellers for Fresh & Frozen categories. 
  • Connect with suppliers prior to season to train sellers on how to manage marketplace.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interest in ecommerce and retail, with a desire to work with brands to grow their business. 
  • Passion for F&B or Groceries is a plus. 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, marketing, or any relevant degree 
  • Internship experience in relevant areas (e-commerce, retail, brand, insights) would be highly beneficial. 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills. 
  • Good work ethic and attitude – adaptable and willing to learn. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. 
  • You should be comfortable with numbers.
