What You Will Do 

Responsibilities includes achieving department's KPIs, overseeing business process consistency and drive improvement efforts by partnering with stakeholders for continuous improvement and problem prevention. 
 
Actively participate in virtual factory (VF) working groups to drive continuous improvement and achieve systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs. Also utilize advanced troubleshooting skills and Model Based Problem Solving (MBPS) methodologies to solve MIT systems issues. 
 
Above all, the position requires an enthusiastic team player and an individual who is driven by technical curiosity in the pursuit of root cause. They should have excellent communication, stakeholder management and networking skills and be motivated to continuously learn and grow their technical knowledge. In an environment of ongoing upgrades, a strong ability to define and deliver on projects is also critical.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor‘s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge in Windows Server, UNIX & LINUX, Virtual Machine administration with some Scripting experience on a variety of platforms (C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, vbscript, Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge in SAN platforms (EMC VMAX, 3Par, etc.) would be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication and technical problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of technical knowledge in computing infrastructure components, data centers, and system support.
