Government Affairs Intern

The Programme

We are seeking highly proactive and motivated candidates to join our Government Affairs team in Kuala Lumpur as an Intern for 6 transformative months.  
 
As a Government Affairs Intern, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Intel’s engagement with key stakeholders in the Federal Government and industry associations to shape policies that impact on the advanced manufacturing and technology sectors.  
 
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in government affairs, policy analysis, and corporate advocacy while contributing to Intel’s mission of creating world-changing technology that improves the life of every person on the planet. 
 
Key responsibilities, may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing relevant policy and regulatory developments to Intel’s business interests in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. 
  • Support the coordination and execution of meetings, events and engagements with government officials, and other relevant stakeholders. 
  • Draft and review materials such as briefing documents, presentation decks and talking points for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Conduct research on policy issues, industry trends, and emerging technologies to support the development of Intel’s advocacy strategies.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in economics, international relations, laws, political science, public policy, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in technology policy, government affairs, and the regulatory landscape. 
  • Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote and team-oriented environment.

Working Model - This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
