E-core CPU Design Automation Graduate Trainee

The Programme

E-core (formerly known as ATOM), Intel's most efficient CPU Technology team is looking for a highly motivated and technically savvy experienced individual to join our team as Design Automation Engineer. 
 
In this position, you will participate in the support and development of CAD solutions for the design of Intel products. 
 
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Define and develop methodologies/processes to enable better utilization of CAD tools to improve design efficiency for custom layout. 
  • Interact closely with design teams to mature the CAD solutions for production use. Activities include problem analysis and requirements definition, followed by design, implementation, test, deployment, and technical support of the flows.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and be able to contribute successfully to teams in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.  
  • He or she should have an ability to follow a structured and disciplined decision-making and development process and will be required to leverage strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communications. 
  • BS or MS in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering. 
  • You should be a student currently pursuing a course of studies in a relevant field with a good understanding of semiconductor physics and basic PC computer architecture.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) logic circuit design. 
  • Well versed in UNIX, C/C++ programming and relevant Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.
