ASIC Physical Design Graduate Trainee

You will be part of a team, participating in test chip design and/or design platform validation, using leading edge process technologies from Intel.  
 
This role requires an engineer with strong analytic and problem-solving skills, an ability to communicate well, and willing to share and discuss issues.  
 
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: performing all aspects of the ASIC design flow from optimizing design in synthesis, cell floor planning, placement, clock tree synthesis, route planning, static timing analysis, power reduction, layout DRC fixes to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing, running test cases to validate IFS design platform to ensure expected functionality and quality of result being produced. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or a Master of Science degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.  
  • Undergrad students pursuing Bachelor of Engineering degree or a Master of Science degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent may apply as well.

The ideal candidate will exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Ability to work independently and at various levels of abstraction. 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Capable of working in a high performing team to deliver the results required from the organization. 
  • Scripts writing for data analysis and design recipe creation.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
