Human Resource and Admin Internship - 6 Months Contract

The Programme 

You responsible for HR operational and general administration tasks within IKEA Malaysia Service Office (HQ).  
 
You support the HR Team (Retail) to establish IKEA Malaysia as the Employer of Choice and to build a meaningful workplace for co-workers in IKEA Malaysia.  

What You Will Do

  • You will be supporting general HR administration tasks.  
  • You will ensure effective communication with all co-workers by sharing important information with the co-workers via all communication channels.  
  • You will be overseeing the cleanliness and ambience of the office environment. 
  • You will be overseeing the maintenance of office facilities, and equipment. 
  • You will be reporting any office related issue i.e., equipment faulty/malfunction cases to the relevant stakeholders and ensure the issues are resolved. 
  • You will keep stock of office supplies and place orders when necessary. 
  • You will support in organizing the co-worker engagement events and manage related clerical tasks i.e., food arrangement, sound system coordination. 
  • You will be supporting the process of vendor and payment management. 
  • You will be supporting the building of IKEA as a great place to work.
  • You will be performing other relevant duties when needed. 

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Passion for Home Furnishing Business and share our vision in creating a better everyday life for the many. 
  • Student in Malaysia, pursuing your bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or equivalent.  
  • Able to commence in May or June 2023. 
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office. 
  • Strong work ethic & sense of commitment.
  • A team player, enjoy building good working relationships at all levels.
