The Programme

Are you looking for an opportunity to support the Employee Health and Safety offices and provide accurate and consistent professional advice that enables them to manage and improve their Employee Health and Safety performance?   
If so, this is the role for you. 
 
As Environment, Health and Safety Staff you will be responsible for the provision of administrative support and assistance to the director in managing a diverse and highly variable workload.   
 
You will also represent Environment, Health and Safety through the learning management tool ensuring efficient delivery of training across the sites.

These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Provide administrative support and updates to the Employee Health & Safety (EHS) Director and Site Leadership Team. 
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential company and personnel information. 
  • Manage administration of all EHS Training Courses for the team. 
  • Create and deliver training material to all office-based staff. 
  • Provide EHS support to the offices and provide accurate and consistent professional advice that enables them to manage and improve their EHS performance. 
  • Work with Operations Managers to ensure General Risk Assessments are ‘suitable and sufficient’ and updated. 
  • Re-enforce the site’s safety culture by presenting timely and stimulating information. 
  • Create the Induction Checklist for new members of staff and ensure individuals understand hazards associated with their role. 
  • Lead and chair the Office Safety Improvement Group, promote new ways of working, continuous improvement, and monitoring progress of the group to meet Sites EHS objectives. 
  • Conduct Office Inspections, support problem solving, and implementation of CAPAs to rectify issues within realistic deadlines. 
  • Assist in areas with office inspections to get a consistent approach across site, coaching office-based reps in EHS, increasing their EHS capabilities, and competence to effectively manage the environment. 
  • Perform as an active member of the Ergonomic Improvement Team (EIT) as well as providing administration service to the team and supporting the Site Lead. 
  • Maintain an appropriate level of inventory for the EHS and Facility Services Office, managing corporate credit card and purchasing card. 
  • Collate data for presentation and escalation at Site EHS Council. 
  • Manage the departmental Quality Compliance performance in accordance with the SOP. 
  • Manage Site Facilities and ensure they are maintained as required and meet the expectations of users, with service level agreements in place where necessary.
