Intern - Accounting & Finance

The Programme

We are looking for an Intern – Accounting & Finance who will be partnering with ANZ Japan Korea Close & Control team and support in day-to-day deliverables especially on month-end closing tasks & controls per our ways of working.

Office Location: Haleon Petaling Jaya, Quill 9 
Title of Hiring Manager: Assistant Financial Controller, Close & Control 
Period of Internship Required: 6 months preferred 
Preferred School/Course of Intern: Open to all disciplines. 
 
You will be required to:

• Participate in completing month-end GL (general ledger) close and reporting of entity’s results to Corporate. 
• Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of journal entries and execution of internal control in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework. 
• Collaborate within the team, stakeholders and other functions (P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax) to ensure successful month-end close.

By joining this internship, you will be able to:

• Obtain high level overview of the close and control-related processes, system and activities. 
• Support various month-end closing and controls tasks. 
• Learn teamwork and engagement with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Abilities

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Educational background – Degree in Finance / Accounting. 
• Proficient in use of IT and software/systems such as excel.
