The Programme

Role Summary

As a BHGE Field Engineering Intern, he/she will provide field service team with overall coordination and technical support by interacting with Field Service Engineers and internal customer to ensure smooth field operations. The role will require intense multi-level communication with internal and external customers i.e engineers, project team, mobilization, contractors and customers, simplify processes/communication and deliver the best solution to stake holders.

What you will do

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Field Service Engineer assignment and mobilization – Interact with PnL and external resources to ensure timely fulfilment
  • Support Service Managers on processes and tools – Technical Briefing, Field Activity Platform, Purchase Order Requisition and Outage scheduling
  • Provide Service Manager with outage progress plan, outage status and coordinate solution for any issues related services
  • Support Install Manager to plan and fulfil project requirement – run through Fit for Job process, assignment & mobilization including FSE communication
  • Manage and report HSE Metric, Field Services Adoption Matrix, CIDB, OGSP coordination and support
  • Interact and own Immigration documentation, process working closely with Mobilization Manager & Fragomen
  • Interact with 3rd party vendors to identify suitable resources to fulfil project demand
  • To own and drive SEA FSE Fit for Duty metric, updating ServiceMax data and FSE Time Sheet/OT management
  • To ensure timely TnL cost reconciliation and reclassification for entire APAC region
  • To support on PPE procurement, stock reconciliation and accurate data management
  • To work hand in hand with Resource Managers & Planner to assist on daily operation/ resources activity
  • Travel and visit project / outage site and report out best practices and area of improvement (Safety, Quality, Fastworks)
  • Generate a case study on any simplification project within Global Field Service processes/ tools/ training

Required Skills and Abilities

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Management/ Health & Safety (HSE)/ Communications/ Logistics with active participation on non-academic events/ programs
  • Students in final year of studies in Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering or HSE are encouraged to apply
  • Internship or previous working experience in engineering role / Field Engineer Management will be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of engineering and/ or management of Turbomachinary processes and equipment
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good command of English both written and spoken
