Intern - Accounting

The Programme

Support GL team for posting entries which include accruals, provisions and bank entries.

What You Will Do

• GL entries and monthly closing activities. 
• Responsible for intercompany accounting. Reconcile IC BS & IC PL difference with counterparts on timely manner. 
• Post bank entries and prepare month end bank reconciliation in a timely manner. 
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliation in a timely manner. 
• Responsible for Fixed asset ledger and asset accounting. 
• Ensure timely clearance of balance sheet items.  Liaising with stakeholders to obtain missing information when necessary. 
• To work closely with AR, AP, Treasury and country Finance teams especially for month end closing activities

Required Skills and Abilities

Functional Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices.  
• Demonstrate good research and analytical skills. 
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast paced and dynamic work environment. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently. 
• Proficiency in using productivity tools such as Microsoft office. 

Education:

• Currently pursuing a degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
