Secretary - Legal

What You Will Do 

  • To provide day-to-day secretarial/office administrative support. 
  • To assist in billing including drafting and preparing invoices. 
  • To organize and manage Partner's appointments and travel arrangements. 
  • To maintain proper e-records/filling of correspondences and documents. 
  • To proof-read and format documents as and when required. 
  • To perform work processing-related duties, i.e.draft and type simple reply to memos/letters, prepare presentation slides, typing and binding reports/documents, table. 
  • To assist in conducting searches as and when required including Land search, Experian search, CCM search, Winding-up search and Bankruptcy search (on-job training will be provided). 
  • To assist in stamping/adjudicating agreements and documents, including submitting documents for adjudication on STAMPS and monitoring the status of the document on STAMPS. 
  • To liaise with the accounting department for reimbursement purposes and monthly accounting reconciliation purposes. 
  • To perform any other secretarial and administrative work as and when required.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Candidates must possess at least a diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent. 
  • Preferably with relevant working experience in a similar capacity, however fresh graduates with a passion for legal work are encouraged to apply. 
  • Good command of written and spoken English. 
  • Strong computer skills, with a solid proficiency in Microsoft applications 
  • A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail. 
  • Proactive with positive working attitudes, multi-tasking and able to work under minimum supervision. 
  • Able to keep clients’ information confidential. 
  • Preferably able to start work immediately. 
  • We welcome candidates who are either planning to pursue or are currently enrolled in LL. B or Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) programs.
