The Programme

As a Payroll Intern, you will be supporting the payroll department in ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in data entry and reconciliation of payroll information.  
 
This role will assist you in gaining insightful experience into the payroll process and its importance in business operations.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with processing payroll for all employees on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis. 
  • Support in maintaining payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data. 
  • Verify employee data for accuracy and make necessary updates. 
  • Help in answering employee questions and concerns regarding payroll matters. 
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management eg: Overtime report 
  • Protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential. 
  • Support the payroll team in the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation. 
  • Engage in payroll projects, such as data cleansing or process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field. 
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and laws (preferred but not required). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.(VLOOKUP/ Pivot table) 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion. 
  • Eagerness to learn and work as part of a team.
