Engineer – Computer Science - Playout - Broadcast Platform Operations

What You Will Do

• Maintain and operate broadcast automation machine control systems for 24 hours transmission of ASTRO local & regional Playout TV channels and recover automation control systems under failure conditions and returning the station to stable operation.  
• Perform standard format conversion of external broadcasting format and recording of satellite broadcasting live feeds into digital broadcasting tape format and ensure the ASTRO technical specification are met.  
• Perform technical quality assessment for the local & regional Playout channels and all forms of recording to ensure the broadcast standards are met.
• System Analysis and reporting.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering / Communication Engineering, Computer Science or related fields with minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in related fields (Broadcasting/Postproduction/Studio Production, etc.).
• Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply. 
• PC literate, knowledge of database applications, e.g., Microsoft Access and systems drawings, e.g., Visio, AutoCAD will be an added advantage but not essential. 
• Terrestrial/Multi-Channel Television Broadcast knowledge is an added advantage. 
• Able to operate under emergency/high pressure conditions and willing to work in shift hours and prepare to work on off day.
