Intern - AM Engineering - Network & Infra

The Programme

We are seeking a talented and motivated intern to join our factory team for a period of three months. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting project focused on network infrastructure and device identification.

Your role will involve working closely with both the OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology) teams to support our network segmentation project.

What You Will Do

  • Network Device Identification: Collaborate with the OT and IT teams to identify and document all OT and IT devices within our factory. This includes devices such as machinery, sensors, servers, switches, routers, and other network-connected equipment.
  • Network Testing and Connectivity: Use your expertise in networking cabling, particularly RJ45, to aid in testing connectivity between two points. Make use of network testers and other appropriate tools to validate the connection from the source device.
  • Network Segmentation Project: Work on the ground to identify devices that can contribute to our network segmentation project. Collaborate with the OT and IT teams to understand network requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and recommend devices that can enhance network security and efficiency.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication between the OT and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and coordination. Act as a liaison to relay information and requirements, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project objectives.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of OT devices, network devices, cabling, configurations, and test results. Prepare reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and progress on the network segmentation project.
  • Professional Development: Take advantage of this internship opportunity to enhance your knowledge and skills in networking, cabling, device identification, and project management. Actively participate in team meetings.
