Entry Level Designer Intern

The Programme

We're seeking a highly motivated Designer intern to join our team at IKHLAS.  
 
As the ideal candidate, you should have a degree in graphic design, communications or a related field, and a strong interest in gaining hands-on experience in designing work.  
 
You will work closely with our marketing team, gaining exposure to various aspects of design and content creation. We welcome candidates who are passionate and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
 
IKHLAS was recently established as a brand-new line of business under airasia aiming to support Muslim communities around the world by providing unparalleled access to faith-based practices. This includes religious obligations such as Umrah, Qurban and Shariah-compliant lifestyle choices. 
 
Please note this position is based in KL Sentral.

What You Will Do

• Immerse yourself in the company's brand, products, and services to develop a deep understanding of its overall concept. 
• Harness your creativity by employing a range of techniques to craft unique drafts, models, and prototypes. 
• Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up to date with the latest editorial practices, trends, and technologies. 
• Bring your designs to life by producing final solutions that captivate audiences, such as logos, banners, posters, interface assets, and more. 
• Collaborate with a team of talented professionals, including designers, PR experts, and others, to create marketing campaigns on both large and small scales, such as email campaigns and landing pages. 
• Bring your unique perspective to the table by pitching creative ideas and providing input to your team. 
• Work closely with your team members to bring campaigns to fruition, launching projects that exceed expectations. 
• Take on exciting design tasks, such as color correction and print management, that allow you to hone your craft and showcase your skills. 
• Use feedback from other designers and senior team members to continually improve your work and grow your skillset. 
• Ensure that your work meets the highest standards by adhering to internal policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Bring your energy and enthusiasm to our team as a 3rd or 4th Year Bachelor's Degree program student ready to tackle the challenges of working in various departments. 
• Embrace new learning opportunities by expanding your knowledge and skills through exposure to a wide range of apps. 
• Demonstrate your exceptional design skills and understanding of aesthetics, which will bring a fresh and innovative look and feel to our projects. 
• Showcase your proficiency with design programs and Adobe workflows (such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva) to produce high-quality work that meets our standards. 
• Help our team stay at the forefront of industry trends by testing new apps and tools used by the company. 
• Work strategically to meet project requirements, leveraging your creativity and critical thinking to develop solutions that achieve our goals. 
• Take on multiple tasks and projects with confidence, demonstrating your ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high-quality work.
